Elegance with a Personal Touch -- Manor House in Mason, Ohio...Making Memories That Last a Lifetime

It may be the 21st century, but upon entering Manor House, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time to a period of formal elegance. From the moment you drive onto the spacious seven acre estate, with perennial gardens and champion oak trees, you know you have entered a grande environment. And, that's just the way owners, Kathy and Bill Kinane planned it.

Having been restaurant and banquet facility owners for years, the Kinane's dream of designing the ultimate banquet facility, with beautiful gardens and a highly trained staff, came to be in 1996 when they purchased the property in Mason, Ohio. Patterned after the old-fashioned grandeur of southern plantations, updated with the latest technology, they created the ideal setting for wedding ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners or dinner parties. Manor House is complete with six mahogany trimmed fireplaces, baby grand piano, crystal chandeliers and sophisticated artwork throughout. Gardens surround the manor and are accessible from the verandas adjoining the banquet rooms. Walk-out French doors allow garden viewing from any location.

Whether the celebration you are planning will be indoors or an "al fresco" celebration, Manor House has eight banquet rooms, patios, and covered porches that can be combined in a variety of styles and sizes to accommodate your needs. There are smaller rooms available for showers or rehearsal dinners, or rooms can be combined to allow for more guests. For the grandest celebrations, several rooms will be combined to create the Manor Ballroom or the Georgian Ballroom, each accommodating up to six hundred guests. Complete with fireplaces, and French-door access to the verandas overlooking the gardens, these rooms become truly the ultimate ceremony and reception location.

Winners of “The Civic Beautification Award” from the Civic Garden Center of Greater Cincinnati in 2002 and the “Mason in Bloom” award in 2004, the Kinanes are justifiably proud of their award winning grounds. Beautiful any season, the landscaping, entrance fountain and pillared porches, provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.

Couples looking for the convenience of having their ceremony and reception at the same location will find a variety of options at Manor House. According to Kathy half of all couples who choose Manor House for their reception choose to exchange vows there too. The gated Courtyard is a popular choice for ceremonies; its retractable awning offers protection should it rain. Or you might opt for an outdoor ceremony in the gazebo overlooking the gardens. The most dramatic place to hold your ceremony is in the Manor House Atrium. With a thirty-foot high glass ceiling, arched windows and double doors lining the walls, the room dances with light in the day and dazzles with moon and star light by night.

Kathy understands that weddings can be stressful and she and her experienced staff help their clients most by not giving them anything to worry about. "We ask all the right questions and if you’ve brought all the things you need with clear instructions then everything is done right,” she says. Having done this many times, she has some good advice for brides. She suggests couples secure reputable vendors. "Cutting corners with inexperienced services often ends up adding delays and worry," she says. Check the references of each vendor who will play a part in your big day. Get reliable florists and bakeries ... pay for experience and professionalism. Then all you have to do is get dressed up and have a good time.”

You're in good hands when you choose Manor House; their team collectively provides you with more than 150 years of restaurant and banquet experience. "We are a personalized business, giving personalized attention," says Kathy. When a couple chooses Manor House for their wedding, a Sales Manager is assigned to work closely together with them to plan the entire day. The ever-competent Event Management Team at Manor House supervises the wait staff, coordinating the implementation of every detail. All food and beverage service is provided in-house by the Chef and his Culinary Staff. The Sales Managers, Event Management Team and Culinary Staff meet and discuss in detail each event before its inception. This painstakingly-detailed procedure helps them avoid many potential problems.

Manor House offers the finest in food preparation and presentation; the chef and his staff prepare all their food on site. Theirs is a varied menu including hors d'oeuvre receptions, buffet, and sit-down dinner options. With selections like Sesame Encrusted Chicken Breast with Thai Pineapple Salsa or Norwegian Salmon with Pesto and Mushrooms, your menu may be customized to exactly what you desire. In fact the willingness of Manor House to accommodate the requests of its guests is truly unique. Whether it's an ice carving, chocolate-dipped strawberries or a gourmet coffee bar, the staff will make sure your celebration reflects your personal taste and desires.

The Kinanes maintain this high level of service by reviewing each and every event that takes place. After every wedding, every reception, and every rehearsal dinner or bridesmaid luncheon, Manor House hands out reviews to the contact person who ordered the event. “We read every review that comes in," says Kathy. “We always try to maintain our standards and then try to improve them. We try to anticipate what is needed in advance … we’re always looking ahead.”

There are many important decisions to be made when planning a wedding, starting with the food that will be served. To help with your food selections Manor House hosts a Wedding Tasting Day twice a year. "We present most of the foods we offer with each item labeled for couples to choose what they would like served at their wedding," says Kathy. To help a bride with the many other choices that will still need to be made, they invite other wedding vendors to the Wedding Tasting Day. From photographers, florists, bakeries, and more it becomes a one-stop shopping opportunity for the bride -- a mini-bridal show. Just one more way Manor House helps brides to plan their wedding day.

Easily accessible from major highways there's plenty for your guests to do close by. A beautiful golf course borders Manor House and King's Island is only three miles away. Luxury and more modest hotels are minutes away in Mason and nearby Northeast Cincinnati. Restaurants and shopping are just down the road.

So whether you're planning your wedding ceremony, reception or rehearsal dinner, Manor House was designed to provide you and your guests with a memorable experience.
